A boarding school on a farm!

The Max Stibbe Private School has a boarding facilities considered to be one of the best boarding schools in the country, catering for boys and girls from class 3 to class 9. We offer both weekly and full boarding in a beautiful, country setting.

The hostels are situated in separate, homely buildings, surrounded by trees, blue skies and spacious playgrounds. The boarding school is a short, healthy walk across the farm, from the school campus.

Our three dedicated hostel parents, Shanti, Elizabeth and Mary, provide the children with a home away from home. Here, the children can enjoy home-cooked meals, lots of outdoor play time, supervised homework time, social time and  -  for the younger ones  -   a bedtime story.

The hostel parents keep good contact with the parents, and social events are organised for parents and children to get to know each other and for parents to get a feel for their child’s life in boarding school.

The children are accommodated in age-appropriate groups, with separate facilities for the girls and boys. There is strong consistency which emphasise on a reassuring routine, outdoor time and minimum use of TV and electronic equipment.

Most independent schools have a wide variety of recreation. At Max Stibbe we offer hostel children the opportunity to participate in organised, on campus activities such as karate, ballet, soccer, Juni-sport, netball and capoeira among others.

There are various stables and horse-riding schools in close proximity of the boarding school, for which parents may make their own arrangements in consultation with their child’s hostel parents.
